The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams

The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams, was based in the 1930’s, however you can clearly see the similarities to today’s all American family like the family’s hierarchy and interactions. Themes of abandonment feature heavily in this play, for example the father leaving his family and then Tom following in his footsteps. This play shows the impact parents have on their children and that children mostly mirror their parents. The mere fact that we cannot choose our own family, we have no choice but to find a way to make it work. fee fee fee fee fee fee fee fee fee
