Harry Potter is a commercial movie based on the novels by J. K. Rowling. The main story is about Harry’s struggle against Lord Voldemort, a dark wizard who intends to become immortal and subjugate Ministry of Magic, wizards and muggles(non-magical people). There are numerous themes and cultural meanings in the film. The environment is intimately connected to reality. The story is inspired by 1990s British culture, European folklore, classical mythology and incorporating objects and life with imagination, such as magic wands, magic plants, potions, spells, flying broomsticks, centaurs, and other magical creatures.
My two close friends and I are great fans of Harry Potter. In January 2018, we have visited Universal Studios in Japan. The place was filled incredibly with Harry Potter spirit. Everywhere we walked and turned around, we saw imitations of the film. Harry Potter itself may not be real but it is a common ground with my real?life friends. It also works as a tight bond to our friendship to have a shared experience for conversation. Our love to Harry Potter film also made us to read the original books and to buy products related to the film such as soundtrack music and souvenirs in Universal Studios. The act of watching the movie introduced us to other forms of products.
