Napoleon and Squealer constantly alter the Seven Commandments to better suit the pigs demands and desires without acknowledging and changes had been made. The Seven Commandment turn out to state the pig’s entitlements instead of the equality that Old Major had planned for all of the animals.
Leon Trotsky is represented by Snowball, who is more intelligent and had already won the loyalty of the other animals on the farm. The author uses real events of the Russian Revolution and from Stalin’s reign. The characters in the book represent real people for example; Vladimir Lenin (First leader of USSR) is represented by Old Major, and Vyacheslav Molotov, (Stalin’s Protégés and head of communist propaganda) is represented by Squealer.

The message of Animal Farm is that power can often lead to corruption and oppression. This is represented by Napoleon. As the story progresses he becomes more and more powerful, and makes the animals to do whatever he commands. The message behind the story is simple and easy to understand without having knowledge of the Russian Rovolution. Napoleon and the other pigs believe that they are better than the other animals and have higher social status, which was meant to be eliminated in one of the seven comandments stating that All Animals Are Equal, which is later changed to All Animals Are Equal, But Some Are More Equal Than Others.

To conclude, Animal Farm is an allegory written by George Orwell that reflects closely to the events of the revolution and into the Stalinist era of communist Russia.
