The deficiency of opportunities and extreme poverty in the countryside has forced rural dwellers to pursue better living in the urban areas. Infrastructure in the country is mostly attentive on the NCR and this interrupting the local and regional growth. Country is facing a lot of difficulties such as pollution, insufficient water supply, high unemployment and amount of misconduct, appearance of squatters, traffic congestion and inefficient waste dumping.
Solid waste is a collective term used to distinguish non-biodegradable material and discards that come from sources like: households, businesses, and commercial establishment, manufactures or industrial sites and biomedical sources like hospitals and clinics (Donna Cosmato 2010). According to D. Cosmato solid waste pollution is when the environment is filled with nonbiodegradable and non-compostable biodegradable wastes that are capable of emitting greenhouse gases, toxic fumes, and particulate matter as they accumulate in open landfills. These wastes are also capable of leaching organic or chemical compositions to contaminate the ground where such wastes laying accumulation. However solid waste carelessly thrown in streets, highways, and alleyways can reason pollution when they are carried off by rainwater run-offs or by flood water to the main streams, as these polluting remains will influence larger bodies of water.
