“The accumulation of all powers… in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many is the very definition of tyranny.” This quote is by James Madison, and this is the definition of tyranny. In the summer of 1787 the fifty five delegates representing twelve of the thirteen states came together in Philadelphia to fix the government they had, the articles of confederation, which were weak. While creating this new form of government the delegates mane goals were to create a strong central government without having someone or a group of people gaining all the power, and take the people’s freedom away.
