The Alligator River Story is a straightforward narrative depicting the actions of five different characters given a specific situation. It starts with a woman named Abigail being in love with a man named Bizo who lived across the river filled with man-eating alligators. With the bridge being washed off and wanting to see Bizo
It can be said that Abigail felt like she had no other choice but to this in order to achieve her goal: which was to get to the other side of the river to see Gregory. Abigail’s course of action can be likened to the Machiavellian thought of “the end justifying the means”. She did not care what she had to do. Politics, nowadays, is leaning towards results. People want leaders who promise to get something done regardless of what they have to do to achieve this. It’s all about tough talk and this, to put into context, can be highlighted in the incumbent leaders of the Philippines and the United States.
