The act of communication begins with processing the information you want to share with someone else. Communication means information is transmitted and is being received and is being understood by someone. This communication includes verbal and nonverbal communication. The verbal communication refers to the sharing of information among individuals using speech. Verbal communication includes oral communication through words and writing. In verbal communication, the pressure and tone in one’s voice are pronounced and expressed in an appropriate way. Body language can also be nonverbal communication which includes posture, the position of one’s hands, arms, eye contact, appearance, facial expression etc. in most cases verbal communication is very important because most people with communication disorders find nonverbal communication to be more accessible and easy to understand.
