The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is one of America’s most vexed yet one of the most known novels by Mark Twain. Besides the controversy of the book being banned from certain schools and the Alan Gribbens “censored” version of the book, critics still think that the ending of the novel is the most contentious. Throughout the novel Twain makes the reader believe that Huckleberry’s mindset will change and that the novel will address racism in a bigger perspective. And while Twain could have ended the novel by making Huckleberry Finn a naive and green boy who learns a valuable lesson, he instead decides to show the realistic and almost unforgivable side of the story.
