The DNA double helix is probably the most iconic of all biological molecules, from the first time DNA was identified as a molecule within cells, our understanding of DNA has grown tremendously as members of the scientific community have built upon each other’s findings to contribute further experiments and information. The discovery of DNA focused scientists’ efforts and led to the research into genetics and heredity aimed at improving life on Earth today. Cellular life includes all bacteria, archaea, and of course eukaryotes which include multicellular organisms like humans. This helps scientists and researchers gain more understanding into the way our body works.
