Laat-Middeleeuwse strijdbijl met kruis, semi-scherp Werkmessen - gereedschap en touw Lantarens waren de primaire verlichtingsbronThis type of battle axe is based on originals that emerged from the second half of the 15th century. Like its predecessors, the distinctive Viking axes, the blade of this axe extends into a beard. The characteristic angles of the beard could be used to parry enemy weapons, and the beard could also be used to pull cavalrymen from their saddles. This axe features a decorative cross motif, which also helps reduce its weight. Battle axes like this one
