Scope of the Congress

To cover the broad range of science and technology and their applications, the congress is structured into several sessions. The following are the structured sessions and the respective scopes of the congress. You may submit your paper to the appropriate session using the respective online submission and registration form. If you are not sure which session to submit, please use the "Non-Structured Session" channel. Please read the instruction here  before making submission.

NOTE:
Interested person in organizing a Structured Session with papers in the area of their expertise are welcomed. A Structured Sessions may have a single or multiple sessions with 6-8 papers each. The organizer of the successful structured session will be granted free registration. NOTE: Felda Global Ventures Holdings Berhad (FGV) is Malaysia’s leading global agribusiness and is the world’s largest producer of crude palm oil (CPO). It has operations in more than 10 countries across Asia, North America and Europe.

Professor Chong was the former Head of Sustainable Palm Oil Research Unit (SPOR), Universiti Malaysia Sabah. He is currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief for Special Issue of the  Transactions on Science and Technology. He authored several books includs the title Detection and Control of Ganoderma boninense in Oil Palm Crop. You may peek the book here. He was recently appointed as a Professor for FGV Chair on Sustainable Oil Palm Management at the Universiti Malaysia Sabah.

Dr. Huda Abdullah is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical, Electronics and Systems Engineering,  National University of Malaysia (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, UKM). Her main research interest is nanomaterials with specialization in producing and synthesis of nanostructure materials for solar cell, for microbial sensor, microstrip patch antenna and for various electronic devices. To date, Dr. Huda received over 15 research grants as a project leader including from TWAS and ISESCO. Her contributions have been recognized by many prestigious awards including “For Women In Science 2007” awards that comes with research grant from L'Oreal Malaysia, Young Excellent Researcher by Malaysian Solid State Science and Technology Society (MASS) in 2012, and UKM Innovation Award in 2014. She is a member of the Global Young Academy (GYA) until 2020, and has been actively collaborating with local and international researchers including with Institut Teknologi Bandung (Indonesia), Ohio State University (USA), UDE-Duisburg University (Germany) and ICTP (Italy).
